Jonathan Ellermann writes "Trevor's Place" as a tribute to TrevorSpace.
Trevor's Place is Jonathan's title track EP benefitting Trevor Project's safe social media platform for LGBTQ+ youth called TrevorSpace.
"The title Trevor's Place is intended to be a play on words with TrevorSpace. My partner and I both struggled with thoughts of suicide as gay teenagers because of the hate rhetoric and bullying we experienced at school and in public. So, we strongly support and believe in The Trevor Project's mission to offer counseling and support to LGBTQ+ youth."
"This past June, I was featured in an ad for the Elton John Aids Foundation and saw they had just made a donation to this cause. Being an independent artist with low funds, I decided to create an EP and donate all of the proceeds to Trevor Project. And, since I compose, perform, and produce all of my own music; once I cover my minimal living expenses, my intent is to give a significant donation to their organization. Within a week of emailing The Trevor Project about my fundraising idea, I not only had finished the production on the original four songs, but also ended up writing and adding a 'theme' song for TrevorSpace!"

The Journey Begins...
After overcoming years of life's hurdles, I am presenting my music to the world! I've been writing songs for over 20 years, so essentially, the world is getting my greatest hits. I first released "Phantasmagorical" because I wanted to show that I created and performed all of my music. With the exception of one co-write ("Rich Man"), I write all of my music and lyrics. If a great song comes to me, I grab my pencil and musicians manuscript and head straight for the piano (if I am not already there). I'm a one man band, or rather, a one 'Eller-mann' band. And, my journey is just beginning!
It's about the song writing...
Next to performing, I live for creating music! My parents raised me on song writing legends: The Beatles, Elton John & Bernie Taupin, ABBA, The Beach Boys, Barry Manilow, Simon & Garfunkel, Carly Simon, and the list goes on. So, I approach song writing with great intent: strong melodies, chord progressions, lyrical content, instrumentation, and layered vocals. There is a reason the artists I listened to growing up still exist today and continue to gain new generations of fans. Even though I have a passion for creating electronic music, a great song should be able to stand on its own with just a piano and singer.
